Guide to IMF World Economic Outlook
INTRODUCTION
The IMF’s World Economic Outlook (WEO) database contains selected macroeconomic data series from the statistical appendix of the World Economic Outlook report, which presents the IMF staff's analysis and projections of economic developments at the global level, in major country groups and in many individual countries.
Updated twice a year in April and September, annual data are available from 1980 to the present and projections are given for the next five years. Data is presented for approximately 180 countries. For some countries, data are incomplete or unavailable for certain years:

Main topics
This database can be used to find data on national accounts, inflation, unemployment rates, balance of payments, fiscal indicators, trade for countries and country groups (aggregates), and commodity prices whose data are reported by the IMF.
Access IMF data
Access to the IMF World Economic Outlook via UKDS.Stat is freely available to all.
Effective January 1st 2015, the IMF introduced a new policy whereby access to the IMF online statistics databases became free to all users. As a result of this policy the IMF datasets hosted by the UK Data Service are now freely available to all. Please refer to the IMF’s Special Terms and Conditions Pertaining to the Use of Data.
